Arrival in Israel – ברוכים הבאים

  • Individual arrivals.

  • Check in to the Hotel.

  • Meet in the lobby of the Hotel and walk to the park behind the King David Hotel, for a short welcome Shehechianu overlooking the Old City with strawberries and champagne.

  • Festive opening program and BBQ overlooking the Old City.

Jerusalem in the Hearts and Minds of The Jewish People

  • Breakfast at the Hotel.

  • Depart for the Old City and enter through the Jaffa Gate, for an introductory guided walk beginning on the Market Rooftops with an overview of Mount Moriah and continue to the Jewish Quarter for a guided visit to the Herodian Mansion’s, the Hurva Square and the Cardo, concluding at the Kotel.

  • Entire Group:  Lunch on your own in the Old City.

  • Free time for Jerusalem exploration, rest and relaxation and Shabbat Preparation.

Option 1

The West Bank/Judea & Smaaria

  • Depart for Hebron for a half day program with Breaking the Silence, for a first hand view of their work and an attempt to understand a bit of the complexity involved in the challenging relationships between the State of Israel and the Hebron settler population with the local Palestinian Hebron residents.

  • Continue to the Gush Etzion Jewish Settlement Block for a visit to Efrat and a dialogue with mayor Oded Revivi, who also serves as a spokesperson for the Council of Residents of Judea and Samaria, followed by a visit to the Netiv Haavot Outpost to hear from one of the residents whose house is scheduled for demolition as it is built on Palestinian private land.

  • Return to Jerusalem for a concluding conversation.

Option 2

The Judean Lowlands and the Beach – For Youth

  • Drive to Rehovot for an opportunity to take part in Field Gleaning with Leket, helping those who have excess produce on their fields give to those who have less.

  • Visit the Ayalon Institute, a pre state hidden underground munitions factory, which some say was one of Israel’s first tech innovations.

  • Lunch followed by an afternoon at the Palmachim Beach.

Entire Group

  • Return to Jerusalem and meet at the hotel, followed by dinner on own and a free evening in Jerusalem.

  • Stop at the base of Mount Gilboa for a Water Walk through Nachal HaKibbutzim  (the Kibbutz River) on the edge of the Jezreal Valley.

  • Continue to Northern Israel.

  • Visit the Hula Lake once drained by the early Zionist pioneers and now re-flooded to bring back the natural eco-system,  for an opportunity to ride Bikes around the lake and take in the natural beauty of the area.

  • Drive to Kibbutz Kfar Blum and check in to the Pastoral Hotel.

  • Free time for rest and relaxation.

  • Dinner at the hotel followed by Israeli Fold Dancing.
